The idea of a national theatre that is not confined to time
and space was initiated by Constanze
Fischbeck and Daniel Kötter in
collaboration with Goethe-Institut
Nigeria. The event week will feature exhibitions sound and video installations,
workshops and performances from December 13 to 18. There will also be a DJ Night with Afrologic on Friday,
December 13 2013.
On the line-up of performers are Segun Adefila of the Crown Troupe of Africa; performance artist Jelili Atiku; multimedia artist Mudi Yahaya; Emeka Ogboh of the Video
Art Network; architects Ayodele Arigbabu
and Koku Konu; artist and academic Odun Orimolade and many more. Prof. Ahmed Yerima is acting director of the
National Pop Up Theatre project.
All events are free and open to the public.
